Greetings from Maya Asakura
MIRAKU was officially established on March 1, 2018.
The company name MIRAKU is intended to help you with beautiful and enjoyable pregnancy.
I studied at The Graduate School in The Hague and learned about women’s rights. After graduating I met my partner and had two children.
While I was raising children, I was always worried about what I wanted to do and what to do in the future.
In 2016 (two years before the company was founded), I happened to watch a TV show about Doula and read, “What a wonderful job that can help a pregnant woman to have a happy pregnancy life. It was a revelation, and I came to think that Doula was my vocation.
Due to my studies at graduate school on the human rights of women who have experienced abuse and trauma, and myself having experienced not only a happy birth experience but also a sad miscarriage, I have a big job in Doula, who supports sensitive pregnant women. I felt fascinating. In addition, I thought that if I could use my knowledge of my professional connection, my illness and maternity experience as a doula, it would be a great relief for pregnant women.
Doula is available around the clock for several weeks around the expected date of delivery. It may feel a little difficult, but when I was attending the birth while taking care of the pregnant woman as a doula, I was told that “Please cut the umbilical cord by all means” and I was very honored. At that time, I thought it was a wonderful job that I would like to continue Doula forever.
Pregnancy and childbirth may be even more anxious and stressful than usual. Doula of MIRAKU who experienced it all in the Netherlands speaks the same mother tongue and walks along the path to become a mother after childbirth. Please be assured.
